Daredevil fans are furious about the ending of the Born Again series. The show will end with its third season, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ next year. However, some fans are still hoping to see the Man Without Fear appear in a feature film.
According to a recent report from The Hollywood Reporter, sources confirmed that the forthcoming season will be the show’s final season of Daredevil: Born Again. The decision comes about two months after Marvel wrapped filming on the third season. Upon hearing this news, fans have taken to X to express their disappointment.
For instance, @Denji__Gaming wrote, “That’s bs. Why are they canceling good shows? Give Daredevil a movie.” While @AliGhezelbash simply wrote, “Atrocious decision.” However, some fans are hopeful that The Man Without Fear could soon get his own feature. For example, @AaronOpie0904 asked, “Because he’s getting a movie?”
@Ski__20 wrote, “Relax this just means he’s coming to the big screen (I hope)” Commenting under the latter’s post, JakeyAttires added, “Yeah, can see them doing a team-up film with the Defenders and Spidey.”
That said, speculation about a Daredevil movie remains limited to fan hopes, as Marvel has not confirmed a feature yet.

What do we know about why Daredevil: Born Again is ending with Season 3?
Besides Marvel’s decision to end the show months after the third season wrapped, the news also comes after showrunner Dario Scardapane parted ways with Marvel Studios. According to a report by THR, Scardapane’s contract with Marvel ended and was not renewed, while Season 3 was already in post-production.
Another source pointed out that the third season is in the final stages of post-production, paving the way for a smooth exit for the showrunner. Marvel declined to comment.
The upcoming season will take place roughly six months after the events of Season 2. The synopsis of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 reads, “With Matt Murdock in prison, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist look for someone new to take on the mantle of Daredevil. Meanwhile, Bullseye is assigned a new target.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027.
