After spending the first half of the season following Orna’s desperate search for answers, AppleTV+’s Unconditional Episode 6 shifts focus almost entirely to Gali’s past, finally revealing how she became a part of the smuggling network operating between Israel, Russia, and India. The episode functions largely as a flashback, showing the events that led to Gali’s arrest and exposing the internal power struggles that eventually brought her operation crashing down.
Most importantly, Episode 6 explains why Gali adopted the alias “Yuri Glaskov,” how she became entangled with Russian oligarch Mikhail Antonovitch, and why one of her closest associates ultimately turned against her. By the end of the hour, viewers finally understand how Gali went from mastermind to fugitive.
Why Did Gali Want To Meet Roma’s Father?

The latest Unconditional episode opens with Gali and Roma talking intimately as their relationship begins. Through Roma, Gali gains access to his father, Russian oligarch Mikhail Antonovitch, the powerful figure who has been looming over the story since Orna’s return to Moscow.
At the center of their meeting is an advanced Israeli missile guidance system. According to Gali, Russian rivals are preventing Mikhail from acquiring access to the technology, despite its enormous strategic and financial value. She claims she can help bridge that gap by connecting him with the engineer responsible for the system.
Initially, Mikhail dismisses her. He sees Gali as little more than his son’s young girlfriend and assumes he can achieve the same objective without her assistance. The conversation quickly becomes a battle for leverage, and Gali refuses to back down.
Gali shocks him by claiming that she understands Mikhail’s business interests far better than he expected. She points to a failed investment from years earlier and argues that acquiring the missile guidance technology would help him recover significant losses. More importantly, she insists that the connection belongs to her and cannot be replicated without her involvement.
For perhaps the first time, viewers see the qualities that allowed Gali to rise in the criminal world. She is intelligent, fearless, and exceptionally skilled at identifying such opportunities.
Rather than acting as a middleman, Gali uses the meeting to negotiate a position of power. She wants control over the operation and intends to use the deal to strengthen her growing arms-trafficking network. During these discussions, the idea of operating under a male alias is raised, eventually leading to the creation of the name Yuri Glaskov.
Why Do Gali And Orna Go To India?
The episode also sheds light on one of the biggest mysteries from earlier in the season: why Gali and Orna ended up traveling to India. Originally, the mother-daughter trip appears to have been planned as a personal vacation. However, viewers learn that Gali changed the destination at the last minute because India had become crucial to Mikhail’s operation.
The trip gives audiences their first real look at Gali running the network herself. She coordinates logistics, oversees negotiations, and manages a team made up primarily of older men, including Mozi, Boaz, Dudi, and Efi. These are the same individuals connected to the passports Orna discovered hidden among Gali’s belongings.
At this stage, Gali is in charge, but cracks begin to form. Several members of the team struggle with taking orders from someone so young. Things spiral out of control when the operation goes wrong in Mumbai. A violent shooting occurs during the exchange, drawing public attention and making headlines. The incident throws the entire mission into chaos.
Gali immediately realizes the danger, as Kyril, Mikhail’s representative, warns Gali that the oligarch will abandon the deal if she cannot regain control of the situation quickly.
Why Does Efi Betray Gali?

Earlier in the operation, Gali secretly collected the passports of her associates as insurance. She feared someone might eventually betray her and wanted leverage if things went wrong.
Believing the stolen technology is worth millions, Efi decides to seize control of the operation for himself. He reveals that he already has a buyer lined up and no longer intends to follow Gali’s plan. Instead of delivering the software to Mikhail’s people, he wants to sell it independently and keep the profits. His sole motivation is to be in charge and make a profit. He does not care who he hurts in the meantime. Efi’s character is a stereotypical bully who will stop at nothing to fulfil their own agenda.
Gali attempts to negotiate and restore order, but Efi and the others refuse to cooperate. For a brief moment, it appears she has lost everything.
Rather than giving up, she searches for another solution. Remembering a fixer named Leon who once helped a friend, Gali reaches out and asks for assistance. She instructs him to remove the men who betrayed her and reclaim the operation. However, the plan backfires. Leon’s people confront Efi and his allies, but the encounter turns violent, and Efi ultimately comes out on top.
Does Efi Die In The End?

As the conflict escalates, Efi attempts to force Gali into returning the passports she has been holding over the group. But Gali refuses. Without the software, she has nothing to offer Mikhail, and they might come after her any moment.
She reaches out to Mozi, the one teammate she still trusts, hoping he can help resolve the situation. Unfortunately, Efi gets to him first, leaving Mozi unable to intervene. If he is dead or just out of the picture, we’re unsure.
The conflict reaches its peak when Efi keeps Gali busy in conversation while Boaz breaks into the room where Orna and Gali are staying, attempting to recover the passports and escape the country.
Gali and Efi fight over control of the operation, and she ultimately shoots him. Taking his bag, she expects to find the stolen DVDs containing the software. Instead, she discovers they are gone.
Realizing she has run out of options, Gali makes one final move. She sends Kyril photographs of Efi and the others’ passports, effectively offering them up to Mikhail’s network. Then she switches off her phone and heads toward the airport.
Episode 6 of Unconditional ends on an ambiguous note regarding Efi’s fate. He is later found unconscious inside a bus, having lost a significant amount of blood from the gunshot wound. However, in the final moments, he opens his eyes.
For now, Efi is alive, but his survival means that the situation is far from being resolved. Will he get in touch with Mikhail to deliver the DVD, or will he fulfil his personal agenda, leaving everyone else stranded? We have to wait and watch in future episodes of Unconditional.
