Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyō Sharingan ignites, black spheres appear around her, and entire attacks are dragged toward them as if gravity itself has chosen a side. Then comes the terrifying part: Sarada can turn that same force against living targets.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has finally given Sarada a Mangekyō ability worthy of the Uchiha name. Ohirume is a gravity-manipulation dojutsu. What makes it extraordinary is how its battlefield control can overlap with the advantages normally associated with space-time techniques.
Sarada’s Ohirume Could Redefine Boruto’s Ocular Powers

Sarada Uchiha awakens her Mangekyō Sharingan and reveals its ability, Ohirume, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 20. Chapter 21 then expands on the technique during her battle with Ryu. The ability allows Sarada to create up to four black spheres, ranging from roughly 5 to 250 centimeters. Each sphere produces gravitational force wildly disproportionate to its size, and Sarada can control both its strength and what it affects. That last detail is what makes Ohirume so frightening.
Sarada does not simply create indiscriminate miniature black holes and hope for the best. She can selectively target objects, weapons, jutsu, and people within her field of vision. She can pull an opponent toward a sphere, redirect attacks, and manipulate the battlefield from multiple angles. She can even use the spheres to counteract the force acting on her, allowing her to levitate and fly at speeds comparable to the Otsutsuki.
In Chapter 21, Sarada uses Ohirume against Ryu, turning his Iron Sand against him and ultimately overwhelming him. The ability later proves useful against Mamushi’s clones, demonstrating that its value is not limited to one-on-one combat. That versatility separates Ohirume from traditional ocular techniques.
Kamui can warp targets into another dimension, Amenotejikara can instantly exchange positions, and Flying Thunder God allows marked users to teleport between locations. Daikokuten, meanwhile, can store objects in a timeless dimension. Ohirume does none of these. Instead, Sarada controls where things move. That distinction could become incredibly important in battles where speed alone is not enough.
How Ohirume Gives Sarada a Major Edge in Boruto

The most interesting part of Ohirume may actually be what it says about Sarada’s evolution as an Uchiha. Her Mangekyō awakened after she desperately wished to save Boruto, making the circumstances notably different from the traditional pattern of awakening through the anguish of losing someone. The ability’s name, Ohirume, also references a name associated with Amaterasu, continuing the franchise’s long-running use of Japanese mythology in Uchiha techniques.
Yet Ohirume is far from an unstoppable cheat code. Its biggest weakness is Sarada herself. The technique consumes an enormous amount of chakra, and like other Mangekyō Sharingan abilities, repeated use comes with a significant physical and chakra cost, while Sarada’s blurred vision has already become an important limitation. The first major use left Sarada unconscious. Later, Chapter 31 showed her vision becoming blurred after using Ohirume against Mamushi’s clones. Chapter 32 pushed that drawback even further: Sarada attempted another massive use of the technique, collapsed, and was unable to eliminate every clone.
There is also a crucial targeting restriction. Sarada can only affect targets within her field of vision, meaning Ohirume is not an omnipresent gravitational field. Positioning, visibility, and stamina remain decisive factors. So, is it the strongest dojutsu ever? Not based on what the manga has confirmed. On paper, calling it stronger than Kamui, Amaterasu, or Amenotejikara as an absolute fact would go beyond the evidence.
But Ohirume may have something those techniques do not: an unusually brutal combination of selective gravitational control, defense, mobility, and battlefield-wide crowd control packed into one Mangekyō ability. And with Kashin Koji identifying Sarada’s awakening as critically important to fighting the Human God Trees, her Mangekyō is clearly more than a flashy power-up. Sarada has not officially broken the rules of space and time. She may have found a way to make those rules matter far less.
