The post was referring to the tragic crowd surge at the Astroworld Festival in Houston back in 2021, where 10 people lost their lives and many were injured. Apparently, the festival lacked proper planning and had limited safety measures in place. So, when the crowd grew out of control, nothing was done, and hence, such a big tragedy happened.
While many blamed the rapper for not stopping his concert despite signs of distress in the crowd, a Texas grand jury didn’t find him criminally responsible via NBC News. Even though he wasn’t charged, the backlash against him was huge, and the event also led to hundreds of lawsuits against him via ABC News.

The Astroworld tragedy shocked not only the public but also Travis Scott. In 2021, he shared a video on his Instagram story as per Yahoo after the tragic incident. During his performance, the crowd became uncontrollable, leading to many casualties and many injured.
Videos from that night showcased fans calling out for help and ambulances trying to get through the packed audience. Although he did stop a few times during his set, the concert continued and ended 40 minutes after the situation turned very serious.

So, the very next day, he posted a video in which he mentioned how heartbroken he was with what happened and that his prayers are with the families affected. He also mentioned that he and his team are trying to reach out to the families of the victims to offer support during this difficult time.
Scott also added that his fans meant the world to him, and he always tried to give them a safe and positive experience. Though he added that he was stopping in between whenever he noticed anything unusual in the crowd.
