It’s the same building where Chalamet spent a few good years of his childhood, so it sparked an immediate reaction from him, “No way? Manhattan Plaza?” He was also in disbelief when Domingo became more specific and mentioned, “Ninth Avenue building. From 2009 to 2017.”

The duo started to discuss Manhattan Plaza’s vibrant environment, how it promoted artistic growth and how many big names in the industry have lived there at some point. Domingo also emphasized the impact it had on Chalamet during his formative years.

Also because he lived and this guy grew up in an environment with artists everywhere. People like Alicia Keys grew up there, Sam Jackson.

Chalamet also echoed the sentiments of its impact, and the instant connection between the two actors showcased how such creative hubs can leave a lasting impact on a person. The Little Women actor further spoke about how the place felt and explained the kind of atmosphere it had.

Wow, I feel massively understood by this man because the building I grew up in is respectfully super strange. It’s like filled with mines.

Most importantly, Chalamet felt understood, simply because he found someone who could’ve possibly lived through most of his experiences. Such as visiting the same restaurants, theatres, parks, and whatnot. He was indeed “mind blown.”
