Fans of Malcolm in the Middle have a reason to smile again. Hulu just dropped a new teaser for the reboot, Life’s Still Unfair, confirming that several beloved members of the original cast are returning to reprise their iconic roles, along with some new faces joining the Wilkerson crew.

While it is good to have the old cast back, Sullivan’s presence will be felt. However, the actor has been absent from cast reunions in the past and has reportedly given up acting following the end of the sitcom.
When Will Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair Premiere?
The revival series was officially greenlit by Hulu and Disney+ as a four-episode limited run. According to recent reports and the official teaser announcement, Life’s Still Unfair is slated to debut in 2026, but an exact date has not been confirmed (via Variety).
In the recently released teaser, we see a scene paying homage to when Lois shaved Hal’s back in the family kitchen, repeating the original scene.

As for what the four-episode reboot will be about, the official logline reads (via Variety):
After shielding himself and his daughter (Karsten) from his family for over a decade, Malcolm is dragged back into their orbit when Hal and Lois demand his presence at their 40th anniversary party.
Linwood Boomer, who created the original series, returns as the writer and executive producer, with Ken Kwapis directing all four episodes as well as serving as executive producer.
