Developed by Krafton, InZoi was initially revealed all the way back in 2023. The life simulation game’s early access came on March 28, and it was praised by both critics and fans alike for its customization options, stunning visuals and engaging activities. It was even dubbed as the “Sims 4 killer”.
Recently, Krafton even revealed that InZoi had surpassed one million in sales. With these incredible achievements, one might think that thousands of players are actively playing and enjoying the game.
However, that’s not really the case. InZoi has seen a massive reduction of concurrent players on Steam in the last couple of days. What’s even more shocking is that even The Sims 4 had never seen such a low.
InZoi is hitting new lows on Steam every day
After InZoi‘s initial launch, it managed to hit 87,377 concurrent players on its very first day. These figures were impressive as they managed to overtake The Sims 4‘s player count instantly. Many expected that the game would eventually overtake its rival’s all-time peak of 96,328 players.
However, current data from SteamDB suggests that the daily number of players for InZoi has gone down massively in the last two weeks. There’s a massive exodus of players, particularly between April 5th and 7th, with over 10,000 players lost between those dates. However, its peak on April 15th took a bigger dip to 8,477 players.

Considering the hype and reviews InZoi launched with, one might wonder what’s exactly causing this spiral for a game that was supposed to be the Game of the Year contender. It’s quite shocking because, during the same timeframe, The Sims 4 has managed to keep a consistent player.

Well, there could be a number of reasons why gamers are abandoning the life simulation title. There’s an obvious content drought. One solid look at Steam’s review sections reveals that there’s a lack of in-game activities to keep players hooked.
However, as it’s an Early Access game, we should soon see Krafton adding more additions in the upcoming months. If this doesn’t revive the player base before the full release, there’s something to worry about.

InZoi might be losing players rapidly, but Krafton isn’t losing hope. The developer has brought yet another patch to the game, which brings tons of fixes, changes, and new features.
According to the patch notes, the brand-new update for InZoi has brought massive improvements to the default camera found in the Build Mode, and a new free camera has been added. Gamers who use WASD to move around can easily switch on the free camera in the Build mode.

As we’ve said before, Inzoi is a visually breathtaking game, but that doesn’t mean improvements aren’t necessary. With the latest patch, Krafton has enhanced in-game characters and even added new light shadow-casting options in an attempt to deliver more realistic graphics.
Krafton is already planning additions for future updates. The game is supposed to receive its very first major content update in May, which will bring in-game cheat codes, an adoption system, outfit updates, and various other things.
