The Bioscanner in Subnautica 2 is an absolute game-changing tool. However, acquiring the blueprint for it can be a bit tricky. Beginners can struggle with it if they’re not set up properly.
The Bioscanner Blueprint is tucked away inside a wreck near the Alien Ruins and requires a Repair Tool to proceed. If you’re set for the expedition, this step-by-step guide will take you exactly where you need to be!
Part 1: Reach the Wreck
Step 1: Travel east from your Lifepod
The Bioscanner Blueprint is found much farther east than the early-game zones, near the Alien Ruins. You can also harvest Celestine here!
Step 2: Reach the Cicada Wreck (EVA Prep) near the Iso blackbox signal

This is the wreck that contains the blueprint, and it sits near the larger alien structure in the area and above the Power Plant.
Step 3: Enter the wreck through the repaired door

You will need a Repair Tool to open the damaged doorway before going inside.
Part 2: Find the Bioscanner Blueprint in Subnautica 2
Step 4: Move through the main chamber
The interior path leads deeper into the wreck and toward the scan point, so just keep moving.
Step 5: Descend the shaft carefully

The blueprint is not on the surface level, so you need to go down to reach it. Keep following the path; it goes nowhere but to the Bioscanner.
Step 6: Scan the Bioscanner at the bottom

Once scanned, the blueprint is unlocked for crafting.
Step 7: Crafting recipe for the Bioscanner
The Subnautica 2 Bioscanner has to be made at a Modification Station. It requires the following materials:

2x Enameled Glass
3x Conduit Crystal
