The Blood of Dawnwalker is built around a ticking clock, and that same pressure shapes how the story ends. In this title, rather than one scripted conclusion, Coen’s fight against the vampire lord Brencis branches into seven possible outcomes, decided by which allies he brings along and the choices made once the climactic confrontation, known in-game as A Deal with the Devil, begins.
A couple of these can even be reached within the first hour if you know where to look, skipping the main campaign almost entirely.
The Blood of Dawnwalker: The Four Main Story Endings

The majority of this game’s endings depend on who, if anyone, stands beside Coen when he finally confronts Brencis. Clearing the three Court Activity bosses, which are Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe, and reaching maximum infamy triggers the endgame quest, and from there your dialogue picks take over. Here is how you unlock the four different endings.
The Folk Hero Ending
Go alone without recruiting Lacra or Crake.
Coen’s victory is framed as a solitary win, with nobody else around to share the credit.
The Patricide Ending
Recruit Lacra through her personal questline.
Stand with Lacra against Brencis.
This unlocks The Patricide ending.
The Knyazmaker Ending
Side with Crake and the Manumit faction.
Complete Crake’s own chain of quests.
This leads to The Kneymaker ending.
The Turncoat Ending
Coen agrees to work with Brencis in exchange for getting his family back.
He then betrays whichever allies he recruited along the way.
Coen exposes the Manumit hideout to Brencis.
Reaching this ending before the game’s 30-day timer runs out grants the player a separate trophy tied specifically to rescuing his family in time.
This option can also resurface mid-flight on both the Lacra and Crake paths.
Players can switch to Brencis’s side at the last second if they change their mind about who to trust.

Two of Dawnwalker’s endings are designed to be reachable almost immediately after the prologue, and the game still counts them as valid completions despite skipping nearly the entire campaign.
A Hero They Deserve Ending
Coen abandons Vale Sangora entirely.
He walks away from his family and everyone else who needs saving.
Can be reached at night near a broken bridge in the Briar Sloughs.
Use the Vampiric Shadowstep ability to scale a canyon wall and escape the valley for good.
Together Forever
Takes a different route through the Home Sweet Home quest.
Coen becomes trapped inside a recurring dream involving his family.
Players must choose between:
Continuing to clear waves of enemies in the dream.
Escaping through a nearby well.
If players keep clearing the enemy waves instead of escaping, Coen eventually settles into the illusion permanently.
Neither of the early endings counts toward the game’s hardest difficulty completion, since that mode is only cleared by actually rescuing Laslea’s residents, something only the four main story paths above manage to do.
The Bad Ending
The seventh and final outcome isn’t really a choice, and is rather a consequence. Let the 30-day countdown lapse without Brencis being taken down, and a cutscene plays out showing Coen’s family being sacrificed inside the castle.
At the time of this writing, The Blood of Dawnwalker is officially slated to release tomorrow, i.e., September 3, 2026. Which ending are you looking forward to obtaining? Let us know about it in the comments below!
