Shared by the official @AngryBirdsMovie handle on X, the poster features an eagle from the Angry Birds franchise, with a safety kit hanging on its back. The film’s name in this spoof Resident Evil poster is “Resident Eagle,” with the rest of the details reading, “Exclusively in movie theatres December 23. Filmed for Flymax.”
The poster even took a hilarious take on Cregger’s name, writing it, “From the mind of Zach Egger” instead of Zach “Cregger.” Meanwhile, the poster was tweeted with a caption that further teased, “An outbeak is coming. The #AngryBirdsMovie3 is only in theatres December 23.”

As intriguing and funny as this Angry Birds Movie 3’s Resident Evil-inspired poster is, it’s only part of the fun. As it turns out, the masterminds behind the movie are releasing a series of clever parody posters to build hype ahead of its December 23, 2026, theatrical release.
Besides RE, the marketing campaign has leaned heavily into spoofing several other major upcoming blockbusters. This includes Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, which was renamed “Boomsday” and featured Bomb.
As for Dune: Part Three, the parody poster featured the words “Words Across My Face” over the poster, with the spoof title saying, “Angry Birds: Part Three.” The release date read “12.23.26,” citing Angry Birds Movie 3’s release date.
These satirical posters inevitably give fans a fun crossover-style rollout as the animated sequel approaches its holiday premiere.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis of this third installment in the film series reads, “This holiday season, one angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet, surviving fatherhood… while saving the world!” Essentially, the film follows Red and Silver as they navigate the chaotic challenges of parenthood while trying to save the world.
