Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 is leaning harder into video game crossovers than any season before it. Epic Games’ official Override key art and trailer have now put characters from several major gaming franchises on the same island, with both fresh faces and returning favorites in the mix. With the season arriving on August 20, there is not long to wait.
Not every collaboration is simply another Outfit, either. Some are tied to cosmetics, Sidekicks, Sprites, other gameplay elements, or returning characters, while others are still waiting for individual release details. Here are all the new and returning collabs officially revealed or teased for Override so far.

Epic’s official material has already revealed a surprisingly broad roster, stretching from classic arcade games to modern RPGs and multiplayer hits. Here’s every franchise we can currently confirm from what Epic has shown.
1. Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog is arguably the headliner franchise of Override, with Sonic himself joined by Shadow and Dr. Eggman in the season’s official promotional material. Tails is also part of the collaboration, arriving as a Sidekick rather than another Outfit.
2. Kingdom Hearts
After years of rumors, Sora is finally appearing in Fortnite. Epic’s key art shows the Kingdom Hearts protagonist wielding his Keyblade, making this one of the biggest new gaming collaborations attached to Override.
3. Persona 5
Joker is joining the island as Persona 5 gets its long-awaited Fortnite crossover. The Phantom Thief is prominently featured in the official Override material, giving Atlus’ RPG series a place among the season’s growing collection of gaming icons.
4. Mega Man
Mega Man is another classic gaming character featured in Override’s promotional material. The blue bomber appears alongside the other crossover characters, making Capcom’s long-running action platformer series part of the season’s decidedly retro-friendly lineup.
5. Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot is also crossing over with Fortnite, bringing another PlayStation-era platforming icon into the mix. Crash appears prominently in the official key art, confirming that this isn’t just another name carried over from the season’s earlier rumor cycle.
6. Spyro the Dragon
Spyro is getting a slightly different treatment from many of the other characters. Rather than simply appearing as another Outfit, the purple dragon has been shown as a Sidekick, giving Fortnite another way to incorporate a recognizable gaming mascot without turning every crossover into a skin.
7. Pac-Man
Pac-Man is another unmistakable classic featured in the Override key art. The arcade legend’s inclusion fits the season’s obsession with recognizable gaming history, and it gives Fortnite yet another crossover that reaches well beyond the modern console era.
8. Street Fighter
Ryu and Chun-Li are both featured in the official Override key art, bringing Street Fighter back into Fortnite. Their appearance also gives the season some fighting game representation alongside the platformers, RPGs, and action games making up the rest of the crossover lineup.
9. Tetris
Tetris gets one of the strangest spots in the season’s crossover lineup, with its unmistakable blocks appearing throughout the Override promotional material.
10. The Witcher
Geralt of Rivia is returning to Fortnite as part of the Override lineup. The White Wolf is one of several established gaming characters appearing in the season’s official promotional material, rather than being a brand-new franchise debut.
11. Tomb Raider
Lara Croft is also back on the island. The Tomb Raider protagonist appears among Override’s collection of gaming icons, adding another returning gaming crossover to a season that is already crowded with familiar faces.
12. Halo
Master Chief is another returning face in the Override material. The Halo crossover therefore joins the growing list of established gaming collaborations getting another appearance during the season rather than making its first trip to Fortnite.
13. Honkai: Star Rail
Honkai: Star Rail also gets representation through Blade and Kafka, both of whom appear in the official promotional material. Their inclusion gives the season another modern RPG crossover alongside Persona 5 and Kingdom Hearts.
14. 99 Nights in the Forest
The Roblox survival game 99 Nights in the Forest is perhaps the most unexpected name in the lineup. Its inclusion shows just how broad Epic’s definition of a gaming crossover has become, placing a newer Roblox hit alongside characters who have been gaming mascots for decades.
The Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass Is Mostly Original

For all the gaming crossover material surrounding Override, the Battle Pass itself tells a different story. Sonic is the only crossover Outfit in the pass, arriving as the Tier 1 skin alongside Tails as a Sidekick and related Sonic cosmetics. The rest of the Outfit lineup consists of Fortnite originals, including several designs that are clearly playing with familiar (cough, legally distinct, cough) gaming archetypes.

That has already left some fans with a bad taste, especially after Epic spent the lead-up to the season showcasing so many recognizable gaming characters. Seeing Sora, Joker, Mega Man, Crash, Spyro, and others in the season’s marketing naturally created expectations that more of them would be part of the Battle Pass. Instead, most of the crossover appeal appears to be heading toward the Item Shop.
It is not necessarily a bad Battle Pass on its own, but the disconnect is hard to ignore. Were you hoping to see more gaming crossovers in the Battle Pass, or are the Item Shop offerings enough for you? Let us know in the comments below!
