He noted that even after Cassie Ventura’s civil suit, after the release of a damning video, and after the federal investigation had begun, Combs still engaged in violent conduct, including what was described as a brutal hotel incident with “Jane,” during which he punched her in the head.

Citing Jane’s testimony, the judge recounted how Combs had instructed her to take a pill and perform sexual acts against her will, adding that the Court was not convinced such behavior would not happen again.

“Here, the data shows a wide variety of sentences,” the judge said. “Weighing all the relevant factors, the Court determines that the appropriate sentence is 50 months of incarceration.”
