The Conjuring Universe is getting a brand new release just before the spooky Halloween season. However, the upcoming release has a surprising twist that fans might not have seen coming.
According to the October 2026 New on Netflix newsletter, the streaming platform is adding a fresh title to its mobile and cloud gaming lineup. Industry outlet What’s on Netflix confirmed that the title, The Conjuring: Unspoken, features an original storyline connected to the horror universe and will be playable via Netflix’s cloud gaming service.
The game is scheduled to release later this September. However, at the moment, there are no details available as to who the creator of the game is or how close a connection the game will have with the original horror franchise movies.
How many movies are part of The Conjuring universe?
The Conjuring Universe has ten movies, including the main series and the spin-offs. The first film, The Conjuring, was released in 2013. With a rating of 83% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the film earned a worldwide box office collection of $316,143,649, per The Numbers.
Following this, on October 2, 2014, Annabelle hit the theaters. The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist was released in June 2016. In this movie, Ed and Lorraine travel to North London to help a single mother get rid of malicious spirits. Following this, Annabelle: Creation and The Nun were released in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
The Nun became a massive box office success, as it secured $366,050,119 with a production budget of $22,000,000. In 2019, two movies of the franchise were released. The standalone spin-off, The Curse of La Llorona, was released in April 2019, and Annabelle Comes Home hit the screens in June of the same year.
Following this, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II were released in March 2021 and September 2023, respectively.
The last film of the franchise that has hit the theaters is The Conjuring: Last Rites (2025). With a production budget of $55,000,000, the film earned a worldwide box office collection of $499,256,445, per The Numbers.
The 2021 film was the highest-grossing movie of the franchise to date. The synopsis of the film, per IMDb, reads, “Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren take on one last terrifying case involving mysterious entities they must confront.”
Looking ahead, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema are developing a prequel titled The Conjuring: First Communion, scheduled for release on September 10, 2027, with director Rodrigue Huart helming the project.
