Prime Video is adding one of the most beloved shows of the last 20 years to its catalog, and the show is available to stream now.
What streaming platform is Supernatural moving to?
Supernatural, the iconic fantasy/horror drama series from creator Eric Kripke, is out now on Prime Video. The move signifies a switch the show took. Prior to its arrival on Prime Video, Supernatural was available on Netflix, but will now be housed on Amazon’s streaming platform, with all 327 episodes across its 15 seasons available to watch.
Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. The show chronicles their adventures together, as well as the many issues that arise as they dive deeper into the world of the supernatural.
Alongside Padalecki and Ackles, Supernatural also stars Katie Cassidy, Lauren Cohan, Misha Collins, Mark A. Sheppard, Mark Pellegrino, and Alexander Calvert. The series helped launch both Padalecki and Ackles into superstardom, and had a massive run on The WB (now The CW) when it premiered.
Following its premiere in 2005, Kripke originally had planned for the series to run for just five seasons. However, due to the series’ popularity, the show continues on for 10 more seasons, with Sera Gamble, Jeremy Carver, Robert Singer, and Andrew Dabb all stepping in to act as showrunner at various points.
With the airing of its 11th season, Supernatural became the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series in history.
