Today, IO Interactive revealed the first look at gameplay for its upcoming game, 007 First Light. At the end of its State of Play presentation, the developer revealed the release date, as well as the contents of its Deluxe Edition.
When is the new James Bond game out?
O Interactive announced that the highly anticipated 007 First Light will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on March 27, 2026. Check out the gameplay reveal trailer below to get a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming game.
Players can preorder the game now, starting at $69.99. Players who preorder any version of the game will receive a Deluxe Edition Upgrade for free. The 007 First Light Deluxe Edition will cost $79.99 for players who wait to grab it at launch. Here is everything included in the slightly more expensive edition:
24-hour early access
Four item skins: Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Phone, Gleaming Pen.
Exclusive weapon skin
Four outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator.
A physical version called the Specialist Edition is an Amazon exclusive that includes a Classic Tuxedo skin, as well as the free Deluxe Upgrade when preordered. It essentially acts as the standard launch version for the game, but is only available on the digital retail store. However, it does not include 24-hour early access.
Lastly, there is a physical collector’s edition for 007 First Light called the Legacy Edition. This comes with everything from the Deluxe Edition, plus an exclusive Golden Gun weapon skin, the Obsidian Gold Suit outfit, a Golden Gun figurine with stand & secret compartment, a Certificate of Authenticity, and a steel case with magnet. It will cost $299.99.
IO Interactive also formally revealed the cast of 007 First Light. Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin) will play the iconic character, James Bond. Here is the cast revealed during the game’s State of Play presentation:

“After a heroic act, young Naval air crewman James Bond is offered to join the newly revived Double 0 program.
