During today’s 007 First Light PlayStation State of Play, IO Interactive revealed PS5 players can get a free Deluxe Edition upgrade if they preorder the game.
What’s the 007: First Light deal?
007 First Light is available to preorder on the PS Store, as well as the digital storefronts for Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam or Epic Games Store. Players who preorder any edition, including the Standard Edition that costs $69.99, will receive a free Deluxe Edition upgrade. Players who wait until launch will have to pay $79.99 for the Deluxe Edition.
Here is what comes with the 007 First Light Deluxe Edition:
24-hour early access
Four item skins: Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Phone, Gleaming Pen.
Exclusive Agent’s Mark weapon skin
Four outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator.
Offers like this don’t typically happen for new PS5 releases. Typically, players have to pay an extra $10 to upgrade to its Deluxe Edition. Although the content in 007 First Light’s Deluxe Edition isn’t game-changing by any means, it does allow players who preordered to play slightly earlier than everyone else, which is nice. We’ll have to wait and see if this is an effective strategy from IO Interactive to increase sales of its upcoming game.
007 First Light will release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on March 27, 2026. Players who want to check out all the gameplay shown during its PlayStation State of Play, which looks to be an evolution of IO Interactive’s lauded Hitman games, can check out the video above.
