[Image Credit: Marcus Theatres] Many fans want to know about every Tron Ares popcorn bucket that will be available for sale before the movie releases nationwide on October 10, 2025. Major theater chains such as Regal, AMC, Cinemark, Marcus Theatres, and more have already shared images of the limited-edition popcorn containers (along with some special collectible cups) for the film on social media, but their release dates and prices have been largely kept secret. Fortunately, Marcus Theaters has a reputation of being one of the first cinemas to reveal how much they will be, and that hasn’t changed this time around. In fact, many of them are already available for pre-order.

How much are the popcorn buckets for Tron Ares?

From what we can tell, there are four Tron Ares popcorn buckets that will be available at various theaters across the US, and their prices range from $15 to $75. These relatively high prices aren’t that surprising, though, given that they are technically Disney merchandise.

The release date for some of these buckets is October 10 at the latest, but given that early screenings for the movie are slated to appear a few days earlier on October 8, we imagine that they will be in theaters by then.

Lightcycle LED Popcorn Bucket

This premium, officially licensed Tron Ares popcorn bucket costs $74.99 at Marcus Theaters, so it will likely be around that price at the other major retailers. As the pictures for this container showed before, it’s more of a showpiece than a bucket in a practical sense, since you will need to lift the lids on each wheel to place the popcorn inside.

Still, it’s still a very cool vessel and features the Tron cyclist in all of his glory. The red stripes along the rim of the wheels and the center of the rider will pulse to recreate the energy that courses through the bike. The full length of the lightcycle is 20 inches while its height is 9 inches, so the bucket’s dimensions are quite hefty.

The wheels themselves can hold up to 40 ounces of popcorn each (so 80 ounces total for the entire bucket). The hubs of the wheels are transparent as well to make it easy to tell how full they are.

Through an Instagram post, AMC confirmed that the release date for the lightcycle bucket will be October 9. But as we mentioned, it could be available for sale earlier than that, particularly at other chains.

Arcade Cabinet LED Popcorn Bucket

Surprisingly affordable, this mid-tier popcorn bucket for the movie is only $29.99 and resembles a classic arcade cabinet that would fit right in Flynn’s Arcade in the original 1982 film.

The detailing of the cabinet is fairly intricate, featuring the “Tron Ares” logo on both the top of the arcade and the screen. A set of red buttons and a blue joystick rest on the panel, while four red squares along the body represent the quarter slots. A thick stripe runs down the side of the cabinet and frames a silhouette of a Tron runner. This popcorn container also features LED lights, though it’s unclear which parts of the cabinet will light up.

The exact dimensions of the arcade cabinet is not yet known, but it will fit 100 ounces of popcorn, which is loaded through the back panel of the container. That would make it seem like it’s roughly half the size of the lightcycle popcorn bucket.

Circuit Board LED Popcorn Bucket

While the least expensive option of the premium options, this more traditional popcorn bucket is priced at $27.50 and has a tried and true shape. It’s easier to hold while sitting in a seat and can contain up to 130 ounces of popcorn, more than the other two vessels.

The main body of the angular bucket is black and the front has a trapezoidal window that’s framed in red. Etches of the Tron Ares logo, the cyclist, and the lightcycle (plus a few other graphics) are placed on the window. Meanwhile, the side and back of the bucket is designed like a circuit board, which makes it look like a cool computer chassis from various angles.

Similar to the other buckets, it also features red LED lighting that is powered by batteries held within the bottom of the window frame. The product description for the bucket mentions that it has a LED light-up base.

Standard Tron Ares Popcorn Bucket

This simpler popcorn bucket is a regular black pail with Tron Ares poster-like pictures along the body.

This offering comes from Cinemark, which revealed the container in a September 23 post on its Instagram. It should only cost about $15 to $20.

Honorable Mention: Lightcycle LED Insulated Tumbler

It’s not a popcorn bucket of course, but this Tron Ares collectible cup is the best of the drinkware that we’ve seen for the movie. So far, we’ve only seen it be available at Marcus Theatres for a reasonable $17.99 as well as Regal as part of a collectible combo (though we’re not sure of the pricing there), but it’s possible that it will show up at other theater stores too.

The cup itself holds up to 20 ounces of liquid and has a figurine of the red lightcycle along the bottom of the glass. Don’t worry about getting it wet, though, since the liquid doesn’t actually go down that far down. The cup has a black removable lid and straw and has a LED light-up base that will more fully illuminate that figurine and the liquid within the glass. In that way, it looks similar to the recent Toy Story 30th Anniversary drink cup that also lights up from the bottom.
