Twisted Metal focuses on a milkman with amnesia in a dystopian future, receiving an interesting opportunity to change his life. He needs to transport a mysterious parcel, facing every challenge. With the conclusion of the second chapter, fans have been curious about its follow-ups. So, is Twisted Metal canceled or renewed for a Season 3?
Here is everything you need to know about the potential next parts of the action comedy series.
Is The Twisted Metal Season 3 canceled by Peacock?
As of now, The Twisted Metal is neither canceled by Peacock nor renewed for Season 3.
Season 2 will drop its final three episodes on August 28, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET. While fans were expecting extra sets of episodes, that isn’t the case. Additionally, fans have been looking forward to the next parts of the show. However, Twisted Metal is yet to be renewed for a third season. Nevertheless, it isn’t canceled either.
Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith opened up on the possibility of more seasons with The Direct. He stated, “It is extremely clear where Season 3 goes,” and added that he has “a lot of plans.” Smith also shared he has “an amazing idea for Season 4 that I think fans will lose their goddamn minds when you hear it.” Talking about the future of the show, Smith explained, “I’m not one of those people who’s going to be like, I have a very strict six-season plan. I want to go for as long as the fans watch. And I think we have a lot of great plans for these characters.”
Smith had given this interview much earlier than the conclusion of Season 2. Twisted Metal Season 3’s renewal mainly depends on its critical reception and viewership. If Season 2 has ticked these boxes, the next chapter is possible. Moreover, the show’s storyline holds a lot of potential to be explored in more installments. However, fans must wait for an official confirmation.
